Here at Unwrapp’d HQ, business partners became workout partners. In January, Tom and I started running together, and have increased our mileage with each successive month. In response to the stay-at-home orders, we created our own home workout involving pushup variations, crunches, wall sits, and lifting Home Depot buckets filled with water, all to our favorite jams.
Workouts, combined with the physical labor involved in producing Unwrapp’d Energy and Protein Bites, take a toll on us. We rely on several products for steady energy and to help our workout recovery:
- Golden Root Turmeric Latte Mix – This is our go-to for easing post-workout inflammation and muscle soreness. We like to blend the Sugar-Free powder with a little butter or coconut milk, and a cup of hot water. We also have Golden Root when we’re feeling tired and stressed in the afternoon, as it has a nice calming yet uplifting effect.
- PBLoveCo Nut Butters – There are many flavors to choose from, but our favorites are the Classic Creamy and Classic Crunchy Peanut Butters. For post-workout or anytime snacks, this is our go-to for plant-based protein. The protein, fat, and carbs in peanut butter is very satisfying, and you can (and we do) put peanut butter on just about everything (Tom even blends peanut butter into his Golden Root on occasion). - Unwrapp’d Bites – We made our product for people like us. We eat Unwrapp’d Bites following workouts to give our muscles carbs for recovery and repair without the sugar crash from overly sweet bars or the stomach pain from sugar alcohols and added fibers. Some Unwrapp’d flavors contain foods that help ease inflammation, such as cinnamon, cacao nibs, unsweetened cocoa powder, flaxseed, and walnuts.
